I wasn’t born in Los Angeles, but I arrived here at 12 years old — and it transformed me. The city introduced me to new cultures, new flavors, new ways of thinking. That exposure expanded my world and helped shape who I am today.

Absorbing those experiences and making them part of my own story has been powerful. Especially now, with so much political tension in our country, I feel called to focus my art on the cultures and microcultures that define Los Angeles. This project is my tribute — my love letter — to the place that raised me.
